Peter E. Bergquist, DO

Since October of 2010, Dr. Peter Bergquist has been practicing at Mountain View Regional Hospital, specializing in total joint surgery, shoulder surgery, knee surgery and minimally invasive arthroscopic sports medicine techniques. Dr. Bergquist is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon and he is fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Bergquist enjoyed success early in his career even prior to graduating from medical school. He was elected Medical School Class President and received the Orthopedic Surgery Internship Recognition Award for his dedication to the field of Orthopedic Surgery Education.

Dr. Bergquist attained his medical education and training from some of the finest institutions in Chicago including Total Joint and Tumor training at the University of Chicago and Hand Surgery training at Northwestern University. Dr. Bergquist also completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona. During his fellowship, he served as a team physician for the Arizona Wildcats, the University football team, and specialized in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures to treat complex shoulder and knee injuries.

Dr. Bergquist has always been active in community sporting events. During his training, he donated his Friday nights to cover local high school football games.

Dr. Bergquist brings the latest advancements in total joint replacements to Mountain View Regional Hospital. He was the first orthopedic surgeon in northeast Nebraska to perform reverse total shoulder replacement surgery and the first orthopedic surgeon to perform the Biomet Customized Total Knee Replacement in the state of Wyoming. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with his family and rescued greyhound.
