Reaching our Patients in their Own Backyard

10-22-2014

Mountain View Regional Hospital has recently expanded its reach througout Wyoming and eastern Nebraska to include orthopedics and ENT. With the addition of Dr. David Hohuan, a board certified otolaryngologist/ENT physician, we saw the need for his services in other areas of the state and quickly got him on the outreach rotation. He will see patients in Gillette, Rawlins, Riverton, Cheyenne, Cody and soon Laramie. Dr. Peter Bergquist, one of our orthopedic surgeons has also started seeing patients in Cheyenne.

Starla Atkinson, our clinic director, has done a great job coordinating all of our outreach clinics from finding space to furnishing the clinics to developing the schedules and so much more. Most of our physicians are seeing patients in their hometowns on a monthly basis at the very least - with most areas being accessed more often. Now that we're broadening our outreach to include more than neurosurgery, our team of specialists will be focused on bringing specialized care to the patient and giving them access to some of the top providers in the country. “We believe in coming to the patient, not making them come to us,” says Starla.

Mountain View Regional Hospital is one of the region’s premier neurosurgical and spine hospitals. We have top specialists in every area, and provide care in one of the nation’s best hospitals for patient experience. It’s nice to be able to provide patients throughout the state and beyond with another choice for their surgical needs and provide them access to world-class care.

Mountain View Regional Hospital’s expansion is part of our efforts to extend our reach throughout the region. Our clinic locations currently include Sheridan, Rock Springs, Evanston, Riverton, Jackson, Gillette, Newcastle, Cody, Powell, Laramie, Wheatland, Cheyenne, Rawlins, Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Casper. We are truly putting the “Regional” in Mountain View Regional Hospital and are reaching our patients in their own backyard – wherever that may be.
